Baptism Pre-View

For all of you looking forward to Alessandro's Baptism next weekend, we wanted to give you a little preview. Nonna has purchased a beautiful "outfit" (what we call it to not upset Pops and David) that he will wear on his big day and it is perfection. Alessandro's favorite photographer, our friend Evelyn, who has a fantastic new job that actually pays her at Sesame Street no less(as opposed to taking photos of Alex all the time which pays very poorly) has taken some great ones.

Alessandro seemed to like "the outfit" just fine except for something that long hides his favorite new toy.... his feet. Also it is good he is so young because he has not learned to hate all those hats/caps I love to put him in so much yet.... Here is hoping this continues.

He is just going to be too cute for words on the BIG day!

Look forward to sharing new photos soon.

First School Visit -

On Tuesday - we visited Alessandro's new school - Trinity Pre-School - we meet with Ms. Christine his new teacher and toured the "Loving Care" room where he will be in class soon. Alessandro was so excited by all the fun things on the wall and hanging from the ceiling that it was hard to contain his joy. Also it was hard to contain Daddy's joy when we saw all the kids happily at nap time together (which is great considering he does NOT nap much in the day time). We will be getting everything together for his start to the school year - after Labor Day.
Also as you can see we are very into our new pet Monkey! He is fabulous!

Welcome Back Charity, Ali & Ruth Anne

As many of you know our friends Charity, Ali and Ruth Anne were in Honduras with the rest of the Trinity Youth Mission. They had a fantastic time and did such great work. If you go to http://www.trinitywallstreet.org/ you can see their very own blog of their trip.

Here are some photos of Charity and Ruth Anne (who will be performing the baptism) with Alessandro recently. Ali - we need you to get a more recent photo with him.

We are Fine From the Fire -

Thanks to everyone who has called about the fire in downtown NYC. We are fine - ironically (although not too shocking) Tressa and I were at Bloomingdales when David called us. Everything is fine now but we continue to be sad for the two firemen. Attached are some photos David and Pops took that day.

We have had some fantastic visitors this month -

First Jeanne and Diane came to visit us from DC and Oklahoma respectively, then Auntie Tressa came to visit us this past weekend.

What fun Alessandro is having with all his fun guests. As you can see by the photos he is getting very BIG but also he is drooling like a little monster (so pardon the little drool bucket).

Today We are 16 Weeks!

Today is Alessandro's 16 Week Birthday and there is lots going on.
Last night over dinner Alessandro found his ears and seemed endlessly fascinated with them. This after the mind blowing discovery of his feet and that they can controlled. He puts his feet up on his bouncy chair and looks like a relaxed man waiting for the game to start (wonder where he gets that from???).
This month Pops is staying with us and keeping Alessandro entertained during the day. When the weather is nice the walk along with water, stopping to read and nap. This is a great opportunity for some inter-generational bounding and all around boy time which is very fun to watch.
We are in preparation for the start of school after labor day and the baptism service on Sunday September 2nd. Look forward to keeping you all updated as our boy grows and changes each day!
Love to all
XOXOXO
