Memorial Day Fun!

Today we had a ball with friends (Chrissy) and an outing at the Park. What a great day for swinging (not so thrilled) and sliding (fantastic). It was a beautiful day and we felt lucky to be New Yorkers by the water and park.

Hope you are all enjoying a great holiday!!!

Walking Tall -

Hot Update - Alessandro is walking -

He has been standing up for about a week by himself, but now he takes up to five steps at a time..... It is very exciting and although we do fall down sometimes, we also stop to clap for ourselves in excitement.

We have also mastered many exciting words like mama, dada, cat (where this came from I can not tell you), and Uga (which we think is dog). We are also practicing sign language which he is picking up very quickly - such an exciting time!

Look forward to more updates once we are running soon -

Love to all -

Pops Visit -

Pops was here to visit with the boys while I was in Vegas for my conference. They had a fantastic time and we are so thankful for all the fun times.

Pops next time we promise better weather for your visit - or you will not leave sunny Florida -

Meeting Mr. Met -

While walking in a downtown festival - we met Mr. Met - hero to David and Alessandro alike. Although neither had their hats on at the time - also here is a photo of them in full Mets regalia. If only they could help poor Willie with their spirit alone - :)

1st Hairccut -

Alessandro recently went for his first hair cut -

He was not pleased and did not appreciate that he was at the best salon for kids in Tribeca -

When we called I explained that it was a first hair cut for a one year old and they asked "did he have a particular stylist he would like?"

Anyhow - he looks perfect and a little less an out of work air guitar band or hockey team member without his mullet.

First Birthday Fun!

All - Alessandro had a lovely birthday - we were surrounded by family and friends for his big party first at church and then at the bar - Also those of you who were in doubt here is the Elmo cake made by Mama Dearest -

Many thanks for all of you who remembered us and his very special day -

Activity Update -

Just this past week - Alessandro has been pulling up on everything and can stand beside his favorite new toy his activity station. Worry not Deb the rings are still A-1 and are played with 24/7. Alessandro can stand unassisted while playing - although he has taken some tumbles in his efforts to get steady. We are starting to wonder if we will walk before crawling or even rolling over truth be told. Perhaps it is a sign of "Brilliance?" Whatever comes next Alex continues to be a happy and healthy joy.

The Peanut's January - 9 months

It has been a great January for the little Peanut - He is learning to crawl - he can only slide on his bum or go backwards to date, but progress is progress. He is also adapting well to solid foods, which after a hard start has been much better recently. So far Alessandro loves most everything (sans bananas and peaches) and seems to especially like anything that comes with a side of applesauce. It is hard to believe he is nine months and only three away from the all lingering "cake," or perhaps he is not as excited as Mommy always is?
Yes it is still rather cold here in NYC. The last photo is an example of how we bundle up each day to travel to school. Thanks especially to Aunt Peaches who bought this little coat for the little man - he is quite the faschionista - even in layers.

Missing you all and can not wait to see you soon! XOXO

Epiphany Soirre

It was a fabulous Epiphany party this year at Trinity. We went with Chrissy, Victoria and Ava who were all looking forward to a great time. When we got there we saw lots of Trinity friends and met some new ones. Although not the official King of the Epiphany, we all saw our little monarch shine. Many thanks to Pierre who fitted the crown finally for Alessandro's little head and Mother Garcia who was very patient while waiting for Alex and Ava to both smile at once (to me it was totally worth it to see the attached). Now onward to the fun pancake supper and then Lent.
