December Already?

Okay perhaps I am the only one who can not believe it is December????? Advent II is now upon us and am not sure exactly where the time has gone. The boys are working hard on some holiday projects and shopping for their adopted kids from the church angel tree - it is just heart breaking to see what some of them asked for.... warm clothes, books, pajamas. We are planning for a pretty busy week to come, breakfast with Santa, the "Train Show" at the botanical gardens and a visit from the old man himself at the house (a local fundraiser for the fire house). So much to look forward to and report on shortly.

In other news - we did take the boys for their holiday photo session - which taught me why Mama Boal always hated taking us every year - it is a mess in every sense of the word from the wait (what are appointments for) to the sets (hello just plain white) to the heat (has no one invented flashes and lights that do not make the room boiling) to two little boys who lets face it are not crazy about their matching very fancy holiday outfits. HA! Anyhow watch your mailbox for the results and know they are far from perfect but we were happy to get home with sub-par greatness.

Alessandro continues to be quite a little hoot of personality. He has some cute saying and never ceases to throw Mommy under the bus with any colorful sayings or actions he might have seen around the house (of the car). He loves school and seems to be really flourishing there with his class and in Sunday school (where I find myself the monthly teacher which seems to be what co-op means - lesson learned). Alessandro loves football and watching with Daddy - although we are really excited for college basketball which seems to finally be upon us.

Antonio is growing like a weed and now has two teeth on the bottom and two new ones on the top. Even with so little teeth he is interested in eating everything and is in LOVE with puffs and these little round cookies that we have found. He continues to have some separation issues (okay so he is a total Mama's Boy) but the ladies at Mommy's Morning Out continue to be patient and kind with his demanding ways. No crawling proper yet but lots of "swimming" and crawling backwards (he can really move across the room which has me a little worried). Nino also is pulling up on everything from the poor dog to his excer saucer so if you are around do not stand still too long or you two will become a walker of sorts. XOXOXO
