This Week!

A very exciting week - Nino is eating like a crazy man - this week he discovered teething biscuits and you would think the girl scouts had arrived (yumm thin mints). He just takes little nibbles and then sucks it down to a nub. He can not actually eat anything like this so he just kind of vacuums it in. Nino is also crawling all be it backwards still - he can actually get moving pretty quickly - we are all eagerly awaiting him to start crawling forwards and then we will be off to the races for sure.

This week we went walking at the park as we always do and took some photos on the playground. Alessandro has made some cute little friends there who evidently are the original Pottery Barn Kids Family - Logan, Jack and baby Madison. They are just as nice as they are cute and we love seeing them. Especially when they teach such fun things like how to throw leaves....

Other than that we are just waiting for Mama Boal to get back safely on Friday morning, which is the same day that Aunt Chrissy is coming out to join us for the Thanksgiving party at school. Fingers crossed that it all goes well since yours truly is in charge..... Will be sure and post some photos then...

Enjoy the week -

Weekly Re-Cap -

We have had an excellent week... filled with excitement and crazy weather. It was warm half of the week and cold and rainy the rest - so we had a week of outside and inside activities. Luckily we were also back in school this week from fall break so ADL was thrilled to see his teacher, his current girlfriend and all his little friends. He continues to love the playground and the bike room and does not understand when we are at the regular park how everyone just does not want to play with him????

Nino is very close to crawling (any minute I think). Currently he is "scooting" on him bum across the living room and crawling backwards until he runs into something and screams. Nino is also talking a lot of babble which makes me realize what it will be like with two little men talking up a storm....
ADL continues to be ever so kind to the baby - he shares all of his toys and wants to play with him always. Note: We have let Nino play with some un-age appropriate toys as that is what is around. Please do not call ACS and force us to call our friend Jess who is their counsel. He has promised not to ignore our call.....

Next week is our Thanksgiving Party at school - which your truly is in charge of. We have an arts and crafts project, special books, bakes goodies and a "blessing tree." I know what a great party right? Stay tuned for all the excitement.

Lastly thanks for all the care and concern for our little medical procedure this week. Mama Duck is feeling well and besides a little pain in my left arm doing well. Luckily poor Mama Boal will soon be back from her real job in Dubai to help with the boys and allow for a little Mommy "Down Time." So much to give thanks for....

Sending lots of love -

Awesome Park -

Yes we had another visit to the Awesome Park - those around here you know the one near the circle. Alessandro has no fear when it comes to climbing and exploring. Sometimes it scares me especially when Daddy is not there to go climbing up after him. He is amazing and I see him there chasing after kids much older (if not as big as Mr. Tall boy) then he is. This trip Nino wanted to get into the excitement so we let him try out the slide (hard to photograph while holding) and of course the swings (it is exciting to try and push two at once). All and all we had another great time at the park and can not wait to go back. Perhaps if this weekend is not a total wash out we will go with Daddy?

Also for those of you down south - yes it is cold here. So please do not send me your photos of short sleeves and shorts because we are wearing heavy jackets and hats (both my boys seem to hate gloves if anyone has an answer for this?).

Happy Friday! XOXOXO

Happy Birthday Sesame!

Yes we are celebrating Sesame's BIG 40th Birthday here at home. When I woke up Alessandro this morning and told him that Tatas (cookie monster) was going to be on the Today show he almost vaulted out of bed. Currently we are enjoying "Elmo's Bedtime" but also are eyeing "Good to be Green" for our future fine entertainment.

Note in photos ADL is wearing his Sesame Street shirt and matching Elmo slippers - thank you Nonna. We are also as always so lucky to have "Auntie Evelyn" working at Sesame who has the coolest job in the world because she "works with Elmo" and "has Elmo sign her emails." WOW!

Oliver a Hero -

This week I would like to pay homage to one of the most important members of our family - Oliver the beagle. Oliver is now 14 as most of you know and perhaps a little "undertall" but he is the very best dog ever. Oliver is the best friend to the boys and is patient and gentle even when they are not. If you see him give him a big smile and a belly run because he surely deserves it!

P.S. Yes Nino is a very "colorful" eater these days - HA!

School Party -

Alessandro had a great party at school for Halloween - we had special snacks, read books and had a great time together on the playground. He still loves school and was totally sad to be out this week (teacher's convention in NJ). Luckily Mom is in charge of the "Turkey Day" celebration coming up on the 20th so am sure there will be lots of fun to report then as well.

Halloween Soirre -

We had such a great time at the Halloween Party this past weekend! The boys were in their costumes when we arrived, but were quickly hot with all the running around. Luckily they still had on cute festive pirate shirts underneath. At the party ADL ran around with all the older kids (including the cute "parade") and AHL fell in love with the prettiest little baby Leah. Her parents are great and quite acceptable future "outlaws."

Before the party - ADL did go to about four houses to trick or treat - he played the part and was very gracious - a little too much so when there are peanut butter cups on the line. He still has virtually no interest in anything that is candy so we are glad we did not go to too many houses.

When we got home it was pretty late and since then the Alessandro has enjoyed saying that they are total "party animals." HA!

Happy Halloween!
