Last Week of School -

Yes it was a perfect week for the last week of school. Mama is still taking it a little slow as she continues to get all better, but that did not stop the excitement of the week. We had a lovely time at Collin's where the class and some other friends from school played in the back yard, ate pizza and played on his swing set. It was a perfect time to get together, let the kids play and discuss how sad we are that school is ended and who has more camp activities planned for the summer? Yours truly is sadly lacking in these and needs to do a little last minute planning.
Alessandro did not seem to understand that school was ending - most likely because he is so excited about next week when we immediately start "Extra Time" or Day Camp at pre-school with his same fabulous teacher who he loves. Each day has a little theme so am sure next week there will be lots to report - but the big news is they will be bringing their lunch and eating together which should be interesting.
Nino continues to be quite the ball of energy which is always exciting and never dull. He seems to have gone from cute little toddler to all out running which is fun but somewhat tiring. He also can not be left alone for a second because the "little monkey" as we call him will climb everywhere and get into everything. Honestly if I had a camera most of the time you would be amazed - on the mantle, into his high chair, on Alessandro's bed, climbing the stairs, up on the railing of the deck - he is amazing..... He also seems to take his tumbles and keep on trucking which I can not decide is great or really really frightening. Please tell me other moms....
This weekend we also went to a birthday party for Nino's little friend who was turning one. It was an amazing party with face painters, clowns, a puppet show and great food - of course we were late because Nino picked that day to nap forever but we did get to enjoy the moon bounce (well Alessandro did but Nino was willing but held back by Daddy) and seeing our friends.
Other then that we are enjoying dining out back as much as possible and the park when the weather is not 100 degrees and the boys have to be sun blocked to within an inch of their little lives. Looking forward to all the summer fun!!! XOXO
