DC for the Weekend -

Yes we had a lovely trip to DC to visit Dave and Amy. Their son Jacob is 15 months and likely the cutest baby ever with beautiful large eyes. They have a fantastic new home which is already perfectly put together after a month (am jealous as have been here for a year and a half and is far from perfect). We had a great time chillaxing, drinking vino, playing with the kids and of course watching the Olympics (hello skating anyone?). We had a great visit and were there just long enough to realize we do NOT miss the DC traffic. One other note - the guys treated Amy and I to the most fantastic message on Valentine's Day - it was great. Then home for a dinner they made - what more can a girl ask for???

Birthday Party of the Century -

Yes - we did get invited to the birthday party of the century at My Gym. It was two boys in ADL's class and both were turning three. There were about 25 kids there and it was just crazy. There were all kinds of games and activities for the kids and then we had pizza and cupcakes (still just licking the frosting and leaving everything else for mama).

It was too cute and of course little Nino was never too far behind - think this is the new operation of course.

Auntie Alex and Other News -

Yes one of our favorite people visited Auntie Alex (from DC) and we were thrilled. We are sending her lots of love that she can get out of the snow and come back again soon. Also we are still enjoying our trips weekly trips to the library - where we made Valentine Crafts and visited "fireball."

In other interesting news ADL has a new fascination with shoes - if you leave shoes around the house he will try and walk in them and wear them. He has tried everything from slippers to stilettos and surprisingly can walk pretty well in all of them. When there is a camera around they do make for fun photos - think my wellies are a favorite for sure.

Valentine's Day -

Yes we had a lovely Valentine's Day - me surrounded by all the men which is exactly the way it should be right? The boys were very helpful with coloring all their valentine's (ADL was using a little too much black and I was worried it might seem a little dark) and baking. While snowed in we baked for all the kids in class, teachers, neighbors and practically everyone we know. This was delicious and seems to have been received warmly. Yummm!

As far as the school party - we did take a break from school snow days to get it in, but our one little princess in the class was out of town so it was literally five little boys. HA! They were all so cute all dressed in red for the big day. Each exchanged valentine's and the party seemed to go very well. So cute! Perhaps one day I can remind him of his all boy valentine party and that this was the reason we always wanted him to go to school with girls.

Speaking of girls - after the party - it was off to the "bike room" for some crazy fun. I put the baby down to take a photo of Alessandro on the "jump car" and the cutest little girl K who we know from church came right over and gave him a kiss on the lips. Yes although brief it was Nino's first kiss - yeah baby!

Snow Days -

Yes we have had more then our fair share of snow this year - ask me any day and I will tell you "am so over it." Now it is almost two weeks later and we still have snow everywhere. Luckily ADL has started to love the snow and playing outside with Daddy. We actually contemplated a bright colored hat because at one point we had more then two feet and were worried about him getting lost. Nino seems to be more of a window watcher and enjoys watching the snow from the warm inside - yes that is my boy. For the first snow our friend Chrissy was also here to share in all the fun and for the second we went on an exciting trip to DC - which is the only place where the snow was actually worse. Anyhow if has been fun and sans them missing a week of pre-school it has not been too much trouble - especially since the husband has a great new contract with "Sal" the snow removal service. Yes they come whenever it snows and clean the driveway, sidewalk and salt wherever needed. It is such a nice luxury and it is some entertainment for the boys who love to watch the jeep and truck moving in the snow. Yes New Jersey is great!

P.S. Yes the photos are of us in the house while poor David shovels - it is a hard knock life right?

AND WE ARE BACK -

Yes it has been forever since I have added to the blog... My apologies to our regular readers. We have ALL been sick, we have actually been traveling and most importantly for these purposes my camera/computer cord was lost (also known as everything interesting ends up in the trash these days due to busy little hands). I hope we can quickly catch you up on all the good news. There is so very much to tell - XOXOXO
