The boys are so excited about Christmas and Santa (the failed visit not withstanding). They love counting down the days until Santa will arrive by using their advent calender, lighting the advent wreath candles, and counting down the days on their Santa place mat. Figure it is all a good exercises in counting right? Also we are trying hard to concentrate on the non-Santa aspects of Christmas and keep Jesus and the nativity fresh in every one's minds. Also the holiday preparation season has meant the arrival of George the Elf (Elf on a Shelf). For those of you who do not know the story George is an Elf sent from Santa just for us to monitor the goings on and report back to the North Pole every night - then every morning he returns and lands in a different place. Literally getting my lazy bones boys out of bed to come downstairs and look for George then call Daddy at work to let him know what the location is. So cute. We have also had some great visits like one from Auntie Chrissy who let the boys open their presents a little early which was thrilling. Also of course as part of the preparation we do have a lovely tree that was picked out by David and the boys - it is perfect. The boys helped to decorate and sans some lighting issues for Daddy it all went great - 'Tis the Season.... XOXOXO
