Pop Pop came to visit the boys again and they were totally over the moon with all the fun. We planned two special Pop Pop Pizza Parties (see they can not get good pizza in Florida although they might have sunshine) and some other fun outings. Mostly the boys just demanded that he read and play with them all the time - poor Pop Pop did not get a moments rest to be sure. There was Uno Moo every night (it is our favorite board game and yes Nino does play by himself and win), trips to the park, playing on the new gym equipment that Pop Pop got them (once the snow melted) and our favorite a trip to our favorite ice cream parlor "Scoops." At Scoops Nino ate his ice cream cone from the bottom and Alessandro licked sprinkles off his sundae - not sure if we are still welcome there actually....
Pop Pop also accompanied us on some fun car shopping expeditions, lovingly helping the boys in and out of all the demo cars in the showrooms - much to the salesman's delight I am sure. When there was something especially sporty or leather we claimed that the doors were locked - thus keeping them from a fun test drive. The boys love talking about, getting in and out of and looking at brochures of cars - which seems to fall right off the old family tree.
Now Pop Pop is off on another big adventure and we can not wait for him to visit again soon in mid-may. XOXOXO
