A.J. at Two Months -

Can you believe it A.J. is two months old???? Where does the time go? He is a happy and smilie baby who continues to sleep well and be such a love. The boys continue to love on him during any opportunity and want to help whenever they can. Of course we try and keep them from touching everything and being in his face but alas we will hope he does not catch the Ebola virus before the third month. A.J. is getting used to his bouncy seats and being on the go which is great. He is also starting to really grow out of all the infant clothing which is great so everything can be passed down to his soon to be friend and coming soon cousin (although a girl Deb tells me that she will enjoy most of his cast offs).

As far as who he looks like - that is easy - Nino - he looks just like Nino and Mommy can not help but call him that two or three times a day...

Here are all the details from his two month doctor's visit: Height 23 1/2" (75%) Weight 12.1 (50%) he also got a myriad of vaccinations which is always fun. His pediatrician told us he was quite healthy but a little "Shrimpy" by Laterza standards. Guess he has a little catching up to do in height but we think he is just perfect. XOXO

Visit with Dave and Amy -

We had a visit from one of our favorite families last weekend - Dave and Amy and their little ones Jacob (almost three) and Ailish (just turned one). The boys were thrilled that their friends were coming to visit and that we were going to spend all weekend playing around the house. That is right even with our new ginormous car - we can not all go anywhere together because there are too many pretty babies.... We played in the backyard, kicked the soccer ball around, flew the boys rocket, grilled out and just enjoyed being together. Of course the "Daves" loved having a few beers and talking sports, work, play yards and crazy preggo Moms. This of course when the crazy preggo Moms were also having a great time catching up and chatting like crazy. Jacob was too kind to enjoy all the boys' cars and dine with the crazy twosome at their little guys table... Ailish was kind to let me put bows in her hair and follow her around chatting princess songs. Dave and Amy are also looking to add to their beautiful family this fall which we are very excited about. Now between us we will now be a party of ten and unable to dine anywhere without ketchup on the table - so many perfect blessings... Our visit was too short but we are so glad the distance from NJ to DC is never too long. XOXO

Super Day -

Thursday was the best day ever and we want to tell everyone about it. First - Daddy was home to tend to some things in the garden and around the house so the boys had pancakes with him - their absolute favorite way to start the day and usually reserved for Sunday morning excitement. Then we got a box of goodies from Nonna including Super Snoopy (or as we say in this house Super Bo Boo) shirts with capes. Regular readers will remember that the boys love their superman pjs with capes attached and have literally worn them out this summer for wear. Nonna was too kind to send these and we put them on immediately. Of course she also sent little Angelo some Lightning McQueen Car shoes but he does not seem to like having anything but socks on his feet yet - but we are working on it. We spent the rest of the day having a picnic outside, playing in the yard and spending time chasing Daddy around the yard. The best part... Super Bo Boo capes are really fun on the swings and Miss. Jamie pushes really high... a great combination to be sure. A "Super" Great Day!!!! XOXOXO

McDona;d's Goodbye

Okay it is not often that one can blog about fast food but we have some sad news. Our beloved McDonald's where we have been known to hang out on a Friday or whenever we were desperate for a drive thru soda, is closing. They are knocking it down to build a new fancier one - likely with a Starbucks like coffee bar. The boys are sad their favorite rainy day hang out is going away with its fabulous play land, and worry that they will no longer get Friday Lunch Happy Meals... Also sadly the new building will NOT have a playland just a nice look and a fancier drive thru.... What ever will we do next winter when it snows for three weeks straight and we have literally climbed the walls in the basement???? To celebrate all the good times we took Miss. Jamie for a lunch and play date there and had a blast... To the good times.. XOXOXO

Updates - Mid-July

All is well - we can not believe that Angelo is almost two months old.... The boys continue to love on him and help out everyday which makes us very thankful. The older boys are exploring this summer with lots of outside playing and sports (really giving that soccer goal a work out) with Mama and the baby enjoying the show. The boys have also discovered dirt which makes me laugh because instead of playing in their nice little sand box - they like to play in the small patch of dirt where grass just refuses to grow and get covered from head to tow. They literally look like pig-pin on a good day (see photo). We are slowly but surely beginning to try new foods much to Daddy's delight and enjoy reading to each other which is very exciting..... In other notables - we had a raccoon in the yard and Daddy had a nice man come and capture it so it could go and live in a nice forest far away. The boys were so excited and watched him all day with their binoculars. Mama cut off more then eleven inches of hair this week for locks of love - it is definitely different and a true summer doo. And we have had some great visitors and play dates. Colin, Alessandra (my first seriously perspective DIL) and Joshua who we Alessandro started gymnastics with. Come and visit soon - you will find the boys very tall and VERY talkative.. XOXOXO

4th of July -

We had a great 4th of July - just chillaxing around the house. The boys really enjoyed being outside with Daddy and Miss. Jamie who came to play even on a holiday (hooray). We grilled out and had a nice dinner and swim party at our friends house. The boys loves swimming with Daddy and using their floats (since they are not allowed for use at the swim club). AJL loved his first 4th of July and was feeling very patriotic with his attire (thanks Kate for the very fancy duds). With much love from all the Yankee Doodle Dandees... XOXOXO

Updates -

Summer life had been great to date - we are getting on a schedule with the baby, the boys have a fabulous new "playmate/sitter" Jamie who has been awesome and we are loving all our time at the swim club. We have also had another visit from Aunt Deborah and Auntie Chrissy which is always good times.... Angelo is getting big and working hard to get over his stomach issues - he is also really becoming more of a baby focusing, smiling and looking in awe of his brothers. ADL and AHL just love being outside these days - the park, the yard, the swim club they just love it all and are filthy dirty most of the time for it (David tells me this is normal). Baking cupcakes, picnics and tearing the basement apart are our favorite things to do each day. Thanks for all the loot, cards and good wishes that continue to come in - life without grandparents has taken some adjustments but we seem to be finding our way. A huge disaster with a dry erase marker decorating the downstairs not withstanding - the only true casualty of this seems to be the couch which I guess could of been worse.... Urgh. Looking forward to the holiday weekend with Daddy home and sports camp and Angelo's two month appointment coming up - so much excitement... XOXOXO
