Yes it is that time of year for Vacation Bible Camp (the VBS of our youth) this is a really fun week at St. Paul's where the little ones come together for four days for crafts, music, playtime, stories and of course lots of good food and snacks. We do this a little differently where it is in the afternoon and then all the babes have dinner together which is fun. This year the theme was "Down on Jesus Farm" so each day there was a fruit and an animal that they studied alone with stories from the parables (lost sheep, good Samaritan etc). Mostly Alessandro loved just being with his friends and having a great time - oh and they did have ice cream one night.... mama Duck enjoyed volunteering with the pre-schoolers which was very fun and always reminds me to be very thankful for their fantastic regular professional teachers come fall - such a blessing that is hard work... Of course the most exciting thing about VBC is Father Andrew who is "so cool" and plays his guitar for the little ones. They love it and even Nino was getting into the songs by week end since we have been singing them around the house. A great week!!! XOXOXO
