ADL's 4th Birthday Party!!!!!

Yes it is time for the BIG SOIREE at last - Alessandro's 4th Birthday Party. We had been counting down the days until the event with all his friends (we had a total of 28 kids) at his favorite place My Gym. We were so excited every time the phone rang or emails were checked because that meant someone was RSVPing. Each day we talked about who was coming and who would be the first one there - Poor Nino was strapped with being there and RSVping first. Once we got there it was total excitement from the time his first guest arrived until we packed up the truck (thank goodness it is BIG) with all the loot to take home.

While at My Gym - the teachers were so great with circle time, organized games and play. We even took the time to do a little mini Easter Egg hunt which was a lot of fun for all involved - sans the poor guy who had to vacuum after the grass slinging fest that it was. While there we had pizza, sang happy birthday and enjoyed the most fabulous "Lightning McQueen" cake that was ever made (Thanks Christine - everyone should have birthday cakes from you my friend it was beautiful and delicious). Of course then every one ran off but Nino who was happy just eating his cake and I am sure getting some rest. Afterwards there was time for more fun and games and then bidding all our friends goodbye and thanking them all for coming. What a blast.... This is surely something that Alessandro will remember forever and think he dreams about it every night.

Thank you to all who remembered the BIG guy with loot for his birthday - you are all too generous and kind. We took three days to open everything (and still have something left for his actual birthday on the 25th) and he is over the moon. Think we are caught up on thank you notes and ADL liked being a part of that process as well - perhaps not as much as the party?? Also special thanks to dear Chrissy who helped out so much that day with mama going crazy and as always is way too good to the boys who adore her.

For those of you who can not believe that ADL is 4 - we hear you... He is amazing and continues to be a blessing to us on special and every other day. XOXO

Spring Break = Camp Mom

We had a great Spring Break with the boys - even if the weather did not work with us for most of the week. Each day we had a fun activity and tried to keep busy and out of the house. Our big outings included an Easter Egg Hunt, Trip to the Zoo, Haircuts (okay you have to get creative when it is raining and cold), Library Outings and Swim Class. We also took a trip to CT where the boys got to open early birthday gifts and visit with Aunt Deborah and Uncle Sean which they always love. The boys seemed to have a great time no matter what we did and complained very little about the limited outside time. Yes before you write or call - I know little Nino looks a little Elton John in his sunglasses but they are just so darn cute that you too will love them in person. In the middle of all this excitement we did get a new car (mother's day present) that will fit everyone. You are quite limited when you are buying a vehicle for three car seats. So much excitement!!! XOXOXO

Jedi Party -

One of ADL's BFFs Aidan had the most fantastic birthday party ever - it was at My Gym which is of course our favorite hang out and had a Jedi Theme. ADL went dressed as Darth Vader (thank you Rebbecca) and that lasted about ten minutes before the costume got into the way. All the other guys were dressed as cute Jedi Trainees complete with rope belt - so cute. The teachers had cute little Jedi training activities which were perfect for running around like crazy. Alessandro and Antonio just ran in circles with excitement and loved every minute. At the end they all got to ride the zip line (including Nino who was not to be left behind) and ADL got a certificate from Yoda to say that he is a certified Jedi in Training. How exciting. As usual Kate amazes me with all the fabulous and creative things she does - we are always just so glad to be included. XOXO
